The Band

Mercury Landing is metaphysical rock, funk, dance, and world music for your soul and spirit.  With their home in New York City, Mercury Landing formed in 2005, constantly evolving into the tight and versatile band they are today.  Their sound features diverse, dexterous, and driving songs ranging from classic rock influences, to synth-infused dance beats, to latin and world music.  Their live show is accentuated by dualing guitars, tight vocal harmonies, and rhythms that unwind your desire to dance.  The band thrives on its originals but likes to throw in a variety of uniquely arranged covers that keep an audience absorbed.  Some of their favorites include the Beatles, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, and Megaman 3 (NES-Capcom circa 1990).

The band has gained powerful sway with their catchy songs and energetic demeanor. They attract both a devoted audience of music gormandizers as well as throngs of people who simply love to dance. The band broaches many genres including rock, funk, pop, prog, reggae, jazz, jam, latin, blues, bluegrass, dance, disco, techno and anything in between. Relix.com described Mercury Landing as "a sound that speaks to a professional attitude and technical and stylistic mastery…delivering a genre-conquering mesh of styles stemming from a whole spectrum of musical influences."

Mercury Landing is Corey J. Feldman (guitar/keys/trumpet), Nate Searing (drums), and a rotating cast of New York's most talented musicians.  The band has performed at coveted New York venues like the Bowery Ballroom, Highline Ballroom, and the Music Hall of Williamsburg. They have traveled to play for audiences in Chicago, Memphis, Asheville and beyond. ML has also shared the stage with bands like Perpetual Groove, Tea Leaf Green, RAQ, the Adam Deitch Project featuring Eric Krasno, Strangefolk, Lotus, Pnuma Trio, the Breakfast, Granola Funk Express, Alvin Youngblood Hart, DJ Logic, DJ Harry, and many others.

Mercury Landing is the brainchild of Corey J. Feldman, a musician, artist, and writer of numerous varieties.  Corey J. has written the majority of music that ML has played over the years, and currently writes almost all of the music the band current plays.  He has collaborated with an array of musicians to build the band that exists today, including musicians that went on to play in many other projects (Rich Brownstein - The Broadcast; Dan Haller, Nate Rosler, Tom Tompkins - Sprocket; David Rosenthal - Freelance musician).  The band's original lineup released one full-length album entitled "Eyes Against the Sky," which receive outstanding reviews.

Corey J. Feldman

Corey J. Feldman is a guitarist and songwriter for Mercury Landing.  Though now focusing on music and writing, Corey actually had a somewhat ironic acting career that peaked at age 9 with a small role on Saturday Night Live (1992 Halloween episode, Hanz and Franz sketch).  He also gave a stellar singing performance of "Comedy Tonight," which was sadly edited out the film Life With Mikey (starring Michael J. Fox).  In elementary school, Corey began exploring his musical side with a trumpet. In his high school years, he decided to pick up bass, followed shortly by guitar and drums. He played bass in a band from ages 16-18, and soon began performing on acoustic guitar as he entered his college years. He formed Mercury Landing with people he met at NYU as well as through the notorious internet classified medium: craigslist.  Mercury Landing has evolved through many incarnations, but ultimately became the pet project of Corey J. who's crafted a rock opera along with a stockade of songs soon to be recorded.

Corey's influences range from jambands like Umphrey's McGee and Phish, to the classic rock of Zeppelin, Yes, and the Talking Heads.  He has also been influenced by the likes of Zappa, Yanni, Mahavishnu, Santana, and a wide array of jazz and classical artists. When he's not getting freaky on his guitar, Corey J. enjoys colored pencil doodling, beatboxing, and creative writing.  He is currently drafting his first apocalyptic novel, as well as his first television script which involves talking animals.

Corey uses Fender guitars and amplification as well as Keeley custom electronics.
